ROUNDUP: Comets edge Warriors

Wyatt Carper made 12 saves Monday when Abington Heights edged Wyoming Area, 6-5, in a Wyoming Valley Conference boys lacrosse game.

Colin Price and Xander Davis led the Comets offense with two goals each.

T.J. Kearns and Benjamin Byers each had two goals and two assists for Wyoming Area. Bryce Harry made 15 saves.

In other WVC games: Wyoming Seminary pounded Wilkes-Barre Area, 17-1; and Dallas routed Holy Redeemer, 17-3.

Jack Herron, Matt Swartz and Lucas Bartron all had three assists for Wyoming Seminary along with multiple goals. Herron scored five, Swartz four and Bartron two.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Tunkhannock swept Delaware Valley, 25-14, 25-18, 25-23, in a WVC opener between two of the top three teams in last season’s final standings.

Delaware Valley went 10-1 and Tunkhannock was 9-1 in a season when not all matches were able to be completed because of COVID-related postponements.
