Sabers change football coaches

Susquehanna became the latest Lackawanna Football Conference member to change coaches Wednesday night when its school board replaced 10-year head coach Kyle Cook with Mose Perry.

Perry has served as a volunteer varsity and junior high assistant under the last two Sabers coaches, Cook and Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association Hall of Famer Dick Bagnall.

Susquehanna co-sponsors football with neighboring Blue Ridge and competes in Division 3 of the LFC.

Since the end of last season, Valley View named Scot Wasilchak to replace George Howanitz, who had announced plans to retire prior to the season, and Western Wayne selected Shane Grodack to replace Randy Wolff, who had resigned.

Susquehanna went 2-3 in the division and 4-7 overall during the 2022 season.
