James Pettinato made three 3-pointers and scored 15 points Tuesday night as Scranton Prep defeated West Scranton, 64-49, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 boys basketball game played at Scranton High School.
The Cavaliers broke a third-place tie with the Invaders going into their game Friday at home against first-place Abington Heights.
Brycen Martin added 12 points and Keith Pritchyk added 10.
Evan Laybourne-Boddie scored nine points to lead the Invaders.
Scranton Prep is 4-3 and 10-6 after winning the only game played within the division Tuesday night. West Scranton is 3-4 and 8-8.
