Red Bank Catholic broke away from a halftime tie to defeat Scranton Prep, 44-36, in a non-league meeting of girls basketball unbeatens Saturday.
Scranton Prep led 11-8 after one quarter and was tied 16-16 at halftime in its trip to New Jersey.
Red Bank Catholic finished strong to present coach Joe Montano with his 700th career victory, making him the sixth in state history to reach that milestone. Montano has coached the team to eight state titles.
Tessa Carman led the winners with 18 points.
Claire McGrath scored 11 points to lead Scranton Prep.
