Sem, Nanticoke girls post routs

Maddie Olshemski scored 15 first-quarter points Monday night, sending Wyoming Seminary on its way to a 59-22 rout of visiting Hanover Area in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 girls basketball game.

Olshemski, who finished with 23 points, helped the Blue Knights take a 23-2 lead after one quarter.

Wyoming Seminary led 41-5 at halftime and 55-14 after three quarters.

Cassidy Skoranski hit two first-quarter 3-pointers and had 10 of her 12 points in the first half for Wyoming Seminary.

Emma Shlingman led Hanover Area with seven points.

Nanticoke 51, MMI Prep 1

Visiting Nanticoke got points from all 11 players it used while overpowering winless MMI Prep.

Claire Aufiero led the way with 10 points. She had 8 of Nanticoke’s 21 second-quarter points when the Trojanettes were taking a 33-0 halftime lead.

MMI Prep did not score until a Bria Kringe free throw in the fourth quarter.

Navaeh Baran added nine points for Nanticoke.
