Sem, Prep on winning streaks

Scranton Prep is doing its best to make a case with a seven-game winning streak, but for the fifth straight week, the Riverfront Sports Boys Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams feature the same five teams in the same order.

Unbeaten Wyoming Seminary remains at No. 1, followed, in order, by Delaware Valley, Crestwood, Scranton Prep and Dallas. The new rankings were released overnight Sunday into Monday.

The only losses by ranked teams came against higher-ranked opponents.

Unbeaten Wyoming Seminary defeated No. 3 Crestwood, 20-10, and No. 4 Scranton Prep handled No. 5 Dallas, 16-5.

Those results allowed Scranton Prep to catch Crestwood in the Wyoming Valley Conference standings and put together a better overall record than the Comets. Crestwood, however, maintains the rankings edge with the help of an 11-4 win when they went head-to-head April 5.
