Young players led the way as Elk Lake bounced back from its only loss and moved into the District 2 Class 2A softball championship game.
Sophomore Amanda Voll tossed a shutout while freshmen Mati Lord and Layla Weaver led the team offensively when the Lady Warriors defeated Northwest, 10-0, in five innings Thursday.
Top-seeded Elk Lake (16-1) will host Holy Cross (13-5) Tuesday at 4:30 for the district championship.
The Lackawanna League Division 4 champion Lady Warriors were 15-0 before losing, 4-3, to Wyoming Area in a non-league game to end the regular season.
Mati Lord tripled twice and drove in four runs.
Weaver had three hits, including one that drove in the run to end the game on the 10-run rule.
