SWIM ROUNDUP: Record falls

Four school records fell during Tuesday meets.

Three of the records were set at Dallas, which opened its Wyoming Valley Conference season by defeating neighboring Lake-Lehman, 111-38, in the boys meet and 128-42 in girls.

Maddoc Watkins set two Dallas boys records, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.78 and the 100 butterfly in 51.78.

Lydia Gonzales set the Dallas girls 100 breaststroke record while winning in 1:06.92.

Lily Nemeth, Molly Hubal, Della Noon and Brooke Tylenda combined to set a school record in the 400 medley relay, capping Valley View’s 86-18 rout of Scranton in a Lackawanna League girls meet.

Scranton won the boys meet, 101-11.

Scranton Prep’s teams swept Dunmore, winning 125-40 in girls and 90-33 in boys.
