Two of the top three teams in both Lackawanna League Divisions 3 and 4 meet in a boys basketball schedule that will keep 38 of the 39 District 2 teams busy Thursday night.

Mid Valley is at Holy Cross in a Lackawanna Division 3 game.

The Spartans bring with them a 10-game winning streak and the division lead. They are 6-0 in the division and 13-2 overall.

The host Crusaders have won five straight. They are 4-2, tied for second with Dunmore, and 9-5.

Defending champion Elk Lake (4-1, 9-5) is at Forest City (4-1, 5-6) in a game between the two teams tied for second in Lackawanna Division 4.

Lackawanna Division 2 leader Wallenpaupack (6-0, 12-2) is at Abington Heights (3-2, 8-5) in a Division 1-2 crossover.

The only girls game on the schedule features two of the three teams that are winless in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 when Hanover Area plays at Wyoming Seminary, which is also winless overall.

There are also four wrestling matches and three boys and girls swimming meets on the schedule.

Honesdale hosts North Pocono in Lackawanna Division 1 and Hanover Area for a non-league match in wrestling. The other non-league matches have Pittston Area at Dallas and Wyoming Area at Benton.

The swimming schedule has Scranton Prep at Elk Lake in the Lackawanna League as well as Wilkes-Barre Area at Wyoming Area and Pittston Area at Dallas in the WVC.
