Two Lackawanna League playoff golf matches and two Lackawanna Football Conference games highlight the Saturday schedule in District 2 sports.
Scranton Prep hosts Montrose at 3:30 at Glenmaura National for the right to face Lackawanna Trail in Wednesday’s Lackawanna League Class 2A final to determine the league’s representative in the District 2 boys golf team championship match.
Honesdale is at North Pocono at 4 at Elmhurst Country Club to land a Class 3A league final spot against Abington Heights.
The LFC schedule has Susquehanna (2-3 overall) at Holy Cross (0-5) in a Division 3 opener at 1 and Wallenpaupack (0-2 in division, 1-4 overall) at Scranton Prep (1-1, 3-2) in a Division 1 game at Scranton Memorial Stadium at 2:30 p.m.
Although a relatively light schedule, that could be further altered by weather, there are also events involving District 2 teams in boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country, girls tennis and field hockey.
