District 2 girls volleyball semifinals are scheduled in Class 4A, 2A and A, all with single games at the higher-seeded team’s gym, beginning at 6 p.m.
Wilkes-Barre Area is at unbeaten, top-seed Delaware Valley and Wyoming Valley West is at Hazleton Area in Class 4A.
Lake-Lehman is at top-seeded Western Wayne and Holy Redeemer is at Dunmore in Class 2A.
Susquehanna is at top-seeded Blue Ridge and Lackawanna Trail is at Mountain View in Class A.
The are two District 2 Class 3A semifinals, three District 2-4 Class 2A Subregional quarterfinals involving District 2 teams and one District 2 Class A quarterfinal still listed on the schedule in field hockey as of 8 a.m.
Those playoffs, as well as a light schedule in boys and girls soccer, are all threatened by the weather.
