The top two teams from the Lackawanna League girls swimming season meet Tuesday.

Valley View is at Scranton Prep.

The Cougars, who were 8-1 for second place behind the Classics last season, already opened their season with a win at Abington Heights. Scranton Prep is swimming its opener.

The schools’ boys teams also meet.

There are two Wyoming Valley Conference boys and girls swimming openers on the schedule as well.

Wilkes-Barre Area is at Holy Redeemer and Tunkhannock is at Wyoming Valley West.

The girls basketball schedule also includes the final two games of the Mike Duda Tournament at Wyoming Valley West.

The host Lady Spartans play West Scranton for third place in the opener, followed by Honesdale against Dallas at 7:30 for the title.

The Tuesday schedule also features non-league action with seven boys basketball games, six girls basketball games and four wrestling matches.

Forest City is at Honesdale in a game between teams that had been scheduled to play in the Jerry Finan Tournament at Carbondale before sports were shut down there. The remaining teams in the tournament reorganized and scheduled a round-robin using their own gyms.

The boys schedule also includes Williamsport at Scranton Prep.

The girls schedule includes Abington Heights at Montrose, Wyoming Area at Riverside, Crestwood at Valley View and Western Wayne at North Schuylkill.

Abington Heights is the defending District 2 Class 5A champion and Montrose is the defending Lackawanna League Division 4 champion. Both the Lady Comets (0-2) and Lady Meteors (0-1) are looking for their first win.

Crestwood plays its opener at Valley View, which won at Montrose Friday night.

The wrestling schedule has Dallas at Nanticoke, Crestwood at Hanover Area, Lake-Lehman at West Scranton and Tunkhannock at Wyalusing.
