Monday night’s full schedule of girls basketball games in District 2 features two games putting first- and second-place teams against each other and three games with immediate championship implications.

Lackawanna League Division 4 leader and two-time defending champion Montrose hosts second-place Mountain View with a chance to clinch at least a tie for the title.

Scranton Prep and Pittston Area have already clinched ties for the Division 1 titles in District 2’s leagues and can win championships outright with victories.

Scranton Prep can lock up its sixth straight Lackawanna Division 1 title with a win at Honesdale or an Abington Heights loss at Scranton.

Pittston Area can complete a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 title repeat with a win at Tunkhannock or a Wyoming Valley West loss at Hazleton Area.

First-place Dunmore is at Riverside, one of two teams tied for second, in Lackawanna Division 3 where the Lady Bucks are approaching a likely 10th straight title.

North Pocono’s one-game lead in Lackawanna Division 2 is on the line as it plays at Valley View while second-place Wallenpaupack hosts West Scranton.
