Blue Ridge is at Western Wayne Friday in a District 1-2-11 Class 2A boys volleyball quarterfinal rematch of teams that tied for second place in the Lackawanna League and split their home-and-home, regular-season meetings.
Both teams were 9-3 in the Lackawanna. Fifth-seeded Blue Ridge is 9-3 overall. Fourth-seeded Western Wayne is 11-4.
The winner advances to play at top-seeded Holy Redeemer, the Wyoming Valley Conference champion, in the semifinal.
Tunkhannock, which has clinched at least a tie for first place, will try to win the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 softball title outright when it hosts Dallas.
Tunkhannock is 12-1 in the division and 16-2 overall. Dallas is 6-7 and 7-9.
Dallas was in action in the morning in Hershey in the state quarterfinals of the boys tennis team tournament.
