If weather allows, the Wednesday District 2 schedule calls for the girls lacrosse championship to be decided and four semifinals each to be played in baseball and softball.
Lake-Lehman gets to host the District 2 Class 2A girls lacrosse final on the superior playoff rating built through a better overall record than Crestwood, the Wyoming Valley Conference champion and the team that handed the Lady Knights their only defeat.
Crestwood is 16-2-1 with the blemishes on the record coming in games outside District 2. Lake-Lehman is 19-1 with 18 straight wins since losing, 10-7, to Crestwood early in the season.
Isabella Caporuscio from Crestwood has more than 100 goals this season to lead all District 2 scorers. Lake-Lehman has the highest-scoring team with 18 goals per game.
Crestwood is first and Lake-Lehman second in the Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
Baseball semifinals are scheduled in Class 3A and in the District 2-4 Class 5A Subregional.
Softball semifinals are scheduled in Class 2A and in the District 2-4 Class 6A Subregional.
