District 2’s best are on the road today for Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship event.
The Class 2A Track and Field Championships are being held at Shippensburg University beginning at 9 a.m. and could be impacted by rain. District 2 has two entries in every boys event and one entry in 17 of the 18 girls events with a second participant in the 100-meter dash the exception.
The boys tennis state singles and doubles tournaments get underway at the Hershey Racquet Club, an indoor facility.
District 2 has one entry in each bracket.
Ben Ziegler from Crestwood is in Class 3A singles. Lenny Maiocco from Western Wayne is in Class 2A singles. Sam Weis and Sam Christman from Abington Heights are the Class 3A doubles representatives. Tucker Chesman and Ben Flynn from Dallas form the Class 2A doubles team.
