Many of the Lackawanna League boys golf teams get right back into action Tuesday after playing in the Bob Simons Classic Monday.
The schedule is highlighted by the 4 p.m. Class 2A Division match that sends Lackawanna Trail to Mid Valley.
Before the league switched from four to two divisions this season, Lackawanna Trail and Mid Valley battled for the 2021 Lackawanna Division 3 title.
Lackawanna Trail won its second straight division title, going 9-0-1 with the only blemish a tie against Mid Valley (8-1-1). The Lions will be playing their league opener and trying to extend a 21-match unbeaten streak in the Lackawanna.
Mid Valley is 1-0 and features Simons Classic champion Eddie Kaufman.
The teams again appear to be evenly matched.
Lackawanna Trail was two shots better than Mid Valley, 354-356, Monday when the teams placed sixth and seventh out of 21 at the Simons Classic.
After showing they were of similar strength in medal play, their match, like all in the Lackawanna League regular season, will be match play.
