Top four reach district semifinals

The top four teams in the Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams make up the district Class 2A semifinals.

The fifth team put up an impressive effort in defeat in the quarterfinals.

As a result, the rankings, released Wednesday at noon, remain unchanged from a week ago.

Wyoming Valley Conference champion Crestwood, the top seed and defending champion in the district tournament, remains first.

Lake-Lehman, Wyoming Area and Scranton Prep are also in the semifinals and ranked second through fourth.

Abington Heights had its six-game winning streak broken, but after falling to third-seeded Wyoming Area, 10-9, the Comets remained in the rankings.
