Saturday’s three District 2 winners in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state basketball quarterfinals now know who they will face in Tuesday’s semifinals.
Holy Cross, the only boys team among five state semifinalists from District 2 and the Lackawanna League, will meet District 3 champion Lancaster Mennonite (19-8), a 64-44 winner over Mahanoy Area. Holy Cross is 22-5.
Scranton Prep (24-2) will face District 12 champion Lansdale Catholic, which defeated Allentown Central Catholic, 49-29, in Class 4A girls to improve to 26-2.
Mountain View (21-6), after beating the District 4 champion, will play District 4 third-place finisher Lourdes Regional in Class A girls. Lourdes (21-7) beat St. John Neumann, 63-47.
