Tigers, Royals move up one spot

There is movement in the Riverfront Sports Super Six Boys Volleyball Power Rankings of District 2 teams for the first time in four weeks.

Tunkhannock and Holy Redeemer each gained one position, trading places with the teams above them, when the new rankings were posted Thursday afternoon.

Unbeaten Blue Ridge and Wyoming Valley Conference leader Delaware Valley continue to rank 1-2.

Blue Ridge completed a perfect Lackawanna League season, then added two more non-league wins to finish 18-0 in the regular season.

Delaware Valley clinched least a tie first place in the WVC, but suffered its first loss to Parkland in a non-league match.

Tunkhannock won three times and passed Abington Heights, which was idle, into third place. Both teams are in second in their leagues.

Holy Redeemer won three times to take over fifth, passing Berwick, which lost two straight to end the regular season. The teams are tied for third in the WVC.
