Brady Slacktish had nine kills and three service aces Thursday to lead the way as Tunkhannock defeated Berwick in four sets in Wyoming Valley Conference boys volleyball.
The match was between teams that had each won their WVC opener.
The Tigers won by scores of 25-18, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19.
Jake Steffy ran a balanced attack with 23 assists and also contributed 3 aces.
Shane Macko and Phoenix Bertram had five kills each while Evanston Myers had four. Macko also led the team in digs.
Andrew Blockus led Berwick with 39 assists, 11 digs and 6 kills. Zander Unger had 12 kills and 8 service points. Graham Marshman had 11 kills and 6 points. Blaze Croop had 11 digs and 10 points.
Holy Redeemer also won a match between teams that were trying to get to 2-0 in the WVC.
Matt Prociak had 17 kills, 9 points, 4 blocks and 4 aces in a 25-18, 25-23, 25-12 sweep of Dallas.
Dan Marinelli added seven kills, four blocks, six points and two aces while Lucas Dwyer had four kills, five points and three aces.
Charlie Floryan had 24 assists, 6 points and 5 digs.
