Aaron Crossley, Michael Crane, Joe Marranca and Lidge Kellum combined for 424 yards and 7 touchdowns rushing Sept. 23 when Wyoming Area routed visiting Hanover Area, 56-14, to improve to 3-0 in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 football.
The division-leading Warriors are 3-2 overall with both losses coming outside the division. The Hawkeyes fell to 0-3 in the division and 1-4 overall.
Wyoming Area led 42-0 at halftime and increased the lead to 56-0 early in the second quarter. The Warriors finished with 493 yards rushing and 528 yards total offense.
Crossley carried 14 times for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns. Crane ran 7 times for 101 yards and a touchdown. Marranca carried twice for 79 yards and a touchdown. Kellum’s 4 carries produced 67 yards and 2 touchdowns. All four had a run of at least a run of 32 yards or more.
