Wyoming Seminary gains fourth spot

Wyoming Seminary won a head-to-head meeting of ranked teams and used that victory to move up in this week’s Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

The Blue Knights defeated Scranton Prep, 7-6, to swap places with the Classics, taking over fourth in the rankings.

The top three teams remained the same. Wyoming Valley Conference and District 2 Class 2A leader Crestwood is ranked first, followed by Lake-Lehman and Wyoming Area.

Crestwood won three times during the week, Lake-Lehman won twice and Wyoming Area, where a COVID-19 pause was in place, did not play.

Wyoming Seminary went 2-1, losing outside the district to Emmaus.

Scranton Prep lost both its games, also falling to Crestwood.
