Antonio Hazelton got Lakeland into the first overtime, then produced the winning play in the second overtime Wednesday night to get the Chiefs past visiting Wallenpaupack, 64-62, in a non-league boys basketball game.
Hazelton scored 22 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and came up with the game’s two biggest plays.
Lakeland had led throughout most of the first half before Wallenpaupack scored the last eight points for a 26-26 tie at the break. The Buckhorns then led most of the second half, including by five points in the last minute of regulation.
Hazelton got fouled on an attempt at the tying 3-pointer with two seconds left. He went to the line and made all three attempts to square the game at 51-51 and force overtime.
The teams were tied again, 56-56, forcing a second overtime.
Wallenpaupack took the lead into the closing seconds, but Hazleton’s three-point play with less than three seconds remaining lifted Lakeland to the win.
Josh Doyle added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocked shots for the Chiefs.
Billy Hazelton had 11 points while Joey Dunstone chipped in with 10 points and 3 assists.
The Chiefs shot 11-for-28 (39.3 percent) from 3-point range, led by Antonio Hazleton’s 3-for-6 effort and Dunstone’s 3-for-8.
Wallenpaupack won the rebounding battle, 40-33.
The Buckhorns got 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals from Justin Blanding, who was 4-for-8 from long distance.
Jake Holbert added 19 points and Kevin Wortmann had 14. Drew Kiesendahl grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Crestwood 44, Lake-Lehman 27
Drew Sechleer and Chaz Wright helped Crestwood build a comfortable first-half lead on the way to the road victory.
Sechleer scored 10 of his 14 points and Wright had all 13 of his during the first half.
The Comets took a 17-4 lead after one quarter and extended it to 32-17 at halftime despite Corey Bean scoring 11 of his game-high 17 points for Lake-Lehman in the second quarter.
Wyoming Area 72, Susquehanna 42
Dane Schutter scored 18 points to lead Wyoming Area to its home-court victory.
Brady Noone added 13 points and Matt Little 10.
The Warriors took control with a 25-6 second quarter to open a 36-16 halftime lead.
J.T. Burke led Susquehanna with 17 points.
Northwest 69, Hanover Area 41
Josh Miner hit six 3-pointers, three of them in the first quarter, to lead the way for visiting Northwest with 20 points.
Landon Hufford added 19 points.
Hanover Area was led by 17 points from Luis McCoy.
East Stroudsburg Notre Dame 75, MMI Prep 42
MMI Prep lost in its trip to face the District 11 opponent.
