Dunmore scored the game’s first 43 points, holding host Mid Valley scoreless for nearly 20 minutes Monday night while beginning pursuit of a 10th straight Lackawanna League Division 3 girls basketball title with a 58-23 rout.
The Lady Bucks led 23-0 after one quarter, 35-0 with 4:30 remaining in the half and 39-0 at the break.
They scored the first four points of the second half before Mid Valley broke the shutout with 4:12 left in the third quarter.
Sophia Talutto scored 13 points to lead Dunmore in its 48th straight division victory.

Lillie Pon scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists in the road win in another Lackawanna Division 3 opener.
Alexa Thomas scored 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
