Eli Yusavage scored 24 points and Taheed Jewell contributed a double-double Jan. 17 when Valley View handled visiting Scranton Prep, 74-57, in the only Lackawanna League Division 1 boys basketball game of the night.
Yusavage also had five assists.
Jewell scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Kyle Rupp scored all 16 of his points in the second half when the Cougars broke away from a 24-22 game at the half.
A.J. Kucharski chipped in with nine points and L.V. Pegula added seven for the Cougars.

While Valley View and Scranton Prep played the only divisional game, the division’s other three teams all won crossover games against Division 2 opponents.
Scranton 82, Honesdale 71
Kole Conforti made five of Scranton’s dozen 3-pointers and Dillon Lazdowsky had a double-double to lead Scranton to the victory.
Conforti scored 24 points.
Lazdowsky, who hit three 3-pointers, had 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The Knights opened a 27-point lead before Honesdale scored 32 points in the fourth quarter.
Karter Kromko’s 24 points and Nathan Hugaboom’s 22 led the way for the Hornets.
West Scranton 67, Delaware Valley 44
Evan Laybourne-Boddie scored 16 points to lead four Invaders in double figures.
Chris Ogden and Tristan Lee added 13 points each while Zack Lloyd had 10 points.
Delaware Valley got 11 points from Isaiah Berrios.
Abington Heights 67, Western Wayne 25
Mason Fedor scored 16 points to lead Abington Heights to the rout.
Ryan Nealon added 14 points and Robby Lucas had 11.
Fedor, Nealon and Lucas each had all but two of their points while the Comets were taking a 41-12 lead.
Evan Dean led Western Wayne with 11 points.
