Lake-Lehman, Scranton Prep move up

The teams that make up the Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams have been busy since the first rankings were released just eight days ago.

Busy and successful.

The same five teams make up the rankings after going 16-2 in those games – 14-0 against unranked opponents plus two games in which two ranked teams met with the higher-ranked team protecting its status.

Although the teams that make up the Power Rankings remain the same, there are two changes in order. Lake-Lehman moves up from third to second, swapping positions with Wyoming Area, and Scranton Prep climbs from fifth to fourth, trading places with Wyoming Seminary.

Crestwood won three times, including beating then No. 2 Wyoming Area. The Lady Comets have won four straight to reach 10-2 overall.

Lake-Lehman beat Wyoming Seminary, 11-4, as part of five wins by a total of 76-20 since the first rankings came out. The Lady Knights have won all 10 games since losing to Crestwood, 10-7, in the opener.

Wyoming Area is also 10-1, but dropped one spot after losing a first-place showdown at Crestwood, 18-12. The Lady Warriors have come back strong since their only loss, winning four times since by at least a dozen goals each time for a total margin of 75-13.

Scranton Prep added two wins to move up a spot when Wyoming Seminary fell to Lake-Lehman.

With all sports now ranked, the Riverfront Sports Power Rankings will be updated on a weekly basis. Girls lacrosse will be ranked on Thursdays.
