Michael Blaine ran for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns while throwing for a touchdown on his only pass attempt Friday night as North Pocono defeated host Wallenpaupack, 28-7, in a Lackawanna Football Conference Division 1 game.
The result ended a four-game losing streak for North Pocono and extended Wallenpaupack’s losing streak to six.
The Trojans improved to 1-3 in the division and 3-4 overall. The Buckhorns fell to 0-4 and 1-6.
Blaine threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Ashton Smith with 1:13 left for a 6-0 lead after one quarter.
Noah West hit an 80-yard touchdown pass to Riley Moore in the second quarter, but Wallenpaupack cut the deficit to 14-7.
Blaine then broke free for a 45-yard touchdown on the final play of the first half, giving the Trojans a 21-7 halftime lead.
The only score of the second half was a 25-yard touchdown run by Blaine with 3:23 remaining.
Drew Kiesendahl passed to Jake Holbert for the only Wallenpaupack touchdown.
