The NEPA Elite 17U Coyle boys team opened its season by beating Early Risers, 61-36, in a Hoop Group Showcase League game Friday in Pittsburgh.
NEPA Elite boys teams went 2-2 during the first day of competition at The Hoop Group’s Pittsburgh Jam Fest, which will continue through Sunday.
The Coyle team was the first to take the court this weekend, joining other boys teams from the club which had already started their seasons.
Both wins came on the 17U level.
The NEPA Elite Wignot 17U team defeated the California Gaters Red, 67-60.
TNBA Attack downed the NEPA Elite 15U (Joyce) team, 58-44.
New York Lightning HGSL defeated NEPA Elite Van Zelst, 58-56, in a 16U Platinum Division game between Showcase League teams.
The NEPA Elite 16U Miller team joins in the action Saturday.
