Cousins served as high scorers on opposite sides Friday night when Mid Valley defeated visiting North Pocono, 37-27, in non-league boys basketball.
Danny Nemitz led the Spartans to the win with 24 points.
A.J. Nemitz was North Pocono’s high scorer with 12 points.
Mid Valley held North Pocono to 4 points for more than 12 minutes to begin the game.
The Spartans led 6-2 after one quarter, 10-4 midway through the second and 20-9 at halftime.

Delaware Valley 65, Hanover Area 56
Jake Brower and Isaiah Berrios each hit four 3-pointers as Delaware Valley drained 11 while using the home-court victory to improve to 3-0.
They also showed off their shooting prowess at the foul line, combining to go 6-for-6 in the fourth quarter.
Brower had 18 of his 25 points in the second half. He had nine in the fourth quarter when he made four of the free throws.
The Warriors outscored the Hawkeyes, 20-8, in the fourth quarter to overcome a three-point deficit.
Berrios made three 3-pointers while scoring 11 of his 20 points in the first quarter when Delaware Valley took a 17-13 lead.
Hanover Area countered with nine 3-pointers, including three by Elijah Noe, who scored a team-high 13 points.
Sedrick Beasley added 11 points in the loss.
Old Forge 36, Scranton 33
Scranton was working for the potential game-winning shot when Joey Macciocco stepped in front of a pass for a steal at the top of the key with under five seconds left.
Macciocco, who finished with 13 points, went the other way for a layup with a second remaining to complete the win for the Blue Devils (2-0).
Anthony Mucciolo and Anthony Cole added 10 points each in the win.
Riverside 67, Honesdale 49
Riverside went on the road and improved to 3-0 with all of the wins coming by at least 17 points.
Mountain View 59, Susquehanna Valley (N.Y.) 47
Tanner Stout scored 22 points as Mountain View improved to 2-0 by winning the game played with a shot clock as part of New York State rules.
Hudson Bain added 12 points and Carter Bain had 10.
Dunmore 63, Montrose 38
Dunmore trailed at halftime before outscoring visiting Montrose, 44-14, in the second half.
Nico Ruggiero led the Bucks with 17 points.
Nate Aviles, Thomas Bowen, Max Forgione and Cullen Smith each added 10 points.
Alex Warriner led the Meteors with 13 points.
Wallenpaupack 55, Wyoming Area 44
Justin Blanding scored 19 points and Jake Holbert added 18 to lead Wallenpaupack past visiting Wyoming Area.
Dane Schutter led Wyoming Area with 15 points.
Nanticoke 65, Wyoming Valley West 60
Nanticoke rallied in the fourth quarter and finished 23-for-35 from the line to defeat visiting Wyoming Valley West.
Gavin Turak led the way with 23 points.
Jaidyn Johnson went 7-for-8 from the line in the fourth quarter and added 20 points.
Zach Konopke’s 23 points led the way for Wyoming Valley West.
Hazleton Area 52, Pottsville 30
Luke Gennaro scored 14 points and dished out 5 assists for host Hazleton Area, which pulled away after leading by just four at halftime.
