The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association finalized its plans for Tuesday’s first round of the state boys soccer tournament Sunday when it settled on 4:45 as the starting time for Hazleton Area’s Class 4A game at home at Harman-Geist Memorial Field against Dallastown.
Dallastown, the District 3 runner-up was sixth in Class 4A in the final Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association state top 10 poll of the season.
Three of the four District 2 champions get to play on their home field in the first round.
North Pocono and Wyoming Seminary also open at home while Holy Cross plays its first-round game on the road.
North Pocono is ranked 10th in the state in Class 3A going into its game at 6 against District 4 champion Danville.
Wyoming Seminary is home against District 11 runner-up Notre Dame Green Pond at 6 at Nesbitt Stadium.
Holy Cross travels to face District 3 champion Camp Hill at Siebert Park in Camp Hill at 6.
