Justin Blanding scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack Friday night as Wallenpaupack defeated Monticello (N.Y.), 50-37, in the opening round of the Lake Region Tip-Off Tournament that the Buckhorns hosted.
Justin Hocker and Jake Holbert added 12 points each.
North Penn-Mansfield 56, Berwick 46
Karson Dominick went 12-for-14 from the line to lead North Penn-Mansfield past host Berwick in a first-round game at the Joe Nespoli Tournament.
North Penn-Mansfield went 21-for-31 on foul shots, including 12-for-18 in the fourth quarter when Dominick made all six of his attempts.
Berwick’s Jace DeGroat made five 3-pointers, including 4 in the second half when he had 15 of his 17 points. Sean Murphy was 7-for-8 from the line while adding 12 points.
