The Dunmore boys, Hazleton Area girls and Lakeland girls each moved up to third in their respective categories of the Riverfront Sports Super Six Track and Field Power Rankings of District 2 teams by opening conference schedules with wins by 87 or more points.
The Bucks, Lady Cougars and Lady Chiefs lead a series of changes in the first in-season update of the track rankings, which were posted late Monday night.
Both Crestwood teams and the Lakeland boys also moved up since the preseason rankings.
The Scranton boys and Mid Valley girls joined the rankings by knocking off teams in the preseason rankings. The Blue Ridge girls also moved into the Super Six.
The top two teams in each set of rankings remained the same.
North Pocono and Holy Redeemer lead the boys rankings while Dallas and Lake-Lehman lead the girls. They are followed by the Valley View and Mid Valley boys as well as the Abington Heights and Montrose girls.
North Pocono, Valley View and Hazleton Area held 1-2-3 in the Big School boys rankings.
Crestwood, which won the Northwest Rangers Invitational team title, moved up to fourth.
Scranton jumped into fifth by opening with an 80-70 win over previously ranked Abington Heights in a meeting between two of the three teams that shared the Lackawanna Track Conference Division 1 title last season.
Wyoming Area remained in sixth.
Holy Redeemer and Mid Valley hold down the top two spots in Small School boys.
Dunmore went from fourth to third after a 118-24 rout of Carbondale.
Lakeland jumped from sixth to fourth when Lake-Lehman and Riverside fell to fifth and sixth after each lost.
Dallas and Abington Heights remained first and second in Big School girls.
Hazleton Area went from fourth to third, trading places with Wallenpaupack, following its 118-31 romp over Wilkes-Barre Area.
Crestwood climbed over Wyoming Area into fifth after also winning the Northwest Rangers Invitational girls title.
Lake-Lehman and Montrose are still 1-2 in Small School girls.
Lakeland ripped Holy Cross, 127-23, and moved above Holy Redeemer, which suffered a one-point loss to Tunkhannock, into third.
Blue Ridge and Mid Valley moved into fifth and sixth, replacing Riverside and Susquehanna.
