Michael Bufalino finished with 20 points and helped host Dallas take control in the second quarter on the way to Tuesday night’s 56-33 District 2 Class 5A boys basketball quarterfinal victory over Wallenpaupack.
The Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 champion Mountaineers led just 7-6 after one quarter.
Bufalino scored 12 of his points in the second quarter as Dallas scored 22 and opened a 29-12 halftime lead.
Darius Wallace and Cameron Faux added eight points each for the Mountaineers.
Justin Blanding led Wallenpaupack with 14 points.
Second-seeded Dallas (21-4) will host sixth-seeded West Scranton (13-10) in Friday’s quarterfinals.
