EMMAUS – St. Joseph’s University commit Jack McGorry scored 10 goals and assisted on 2 others Tuesday when Allentown Central Catholic handled Crestwood, 16-6, in a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class 2A boys lacrosse semifinal.
ACC advances to meet Mars Saturday at 2:30 at West Chester East for the state title.
Crestwood, the Wyoming Valley Conference and District 2 champion, had its season end in the state semifinals for the second straight season. The Comets, the only District 2 team to ever get that far, finished 18-3.
Trey Zabroski, who had an assist, and Noah Schultz each scored twice for the Comets.
The Vikings ran off seven straight goals from late in the first quarter to midway through the third to open an 11-2 lead.
Tyler Schifko scored four goals, including the 100th of his career, and assisted on three for ACC.
