PALMYRA TWP. – Delaware Valley outscored the league’s two defending division champions to claim the title Saturday in the Lackawanna League Wrestling Tournament at Wallenpaupack.
The Warriors posted a team score of 199½ to beat out Abington Heights (184½) and Lackawanna Trail (177½) for the championship.
Honesdale finished fourth in the 16-team tournament with 157½ points.
Wallenpaupack (149½), West Scranton (121½), Scranton (99) and Western Wayne (60) rounded out the top half of the field.
