Toby Zajac carried 25 times for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns Saturday afternoon to lead Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech to a 28-6 victory over winless Holy Cross.
The Bloomsburg school built a 20-0 lead with two third-quarter touchdowns, then shook off a big play by the visiting Crusaders.
Kyle Cortazar hit Jonathan Jones with a 57-yard touchdown pass to open the fourth quarter and cut the deficit to 20-6. Cortazar finished 9-for-17 for 132 yards passing.
CMVT countered with a drive that took time off the clock and produced Zayac’s 1-yard touchdown run.
The Rams scored early in the game, but led just 6-0 at halftime.
CMVT took control late in the third quarter on Zajac’s 46-yard run and Ashton Smith’s 70-yard pass to Shane Tomlinson.
Logan Tierney carried 20 times for 79 yards and had 2 catches for Holy Cross.
