Matthew Prociak scored 15 points to lead three players in double figures Saturday when the NEPA Elite Coyle 17U boys team defeated Unity Legends Elite, 63-36, for the second victory of the day in the Zero Gravity Mid-Atlantic May Madness at Spooky Nook in Manheim, Lancaster County.
The win was the second of the day in the 17U Division Pool X for NEPA Elite, which won its morning opener, 75-34, over DeuceTrey Elite.
Ethan Meuser added 14 points while Jason Shields hit three 3-pointers to finish with 11. Austin Finarelli added nine points.
Coming off the 41-point rout to begin the day, NEPA Elite ran out to a 34-9 halftime lead behind 10 points by Prociak and 7 by Finarelli, along with a pair of 3-pointers by Shields.
NEPA Elite opened the event Friday with a 61-55 loss against Middlesex Magic-Lambros.
Prociak is from Holy Redeemer. Meuser is a recent Wyoming Seminary graduate who is headed to a year at The Hill School in Pottstown. Shields is from Scranton and Finarelli is from Dallas.
