Both Crestwood cross country teams finished in the top five in large fields Saturday at the 27th annual Carlisle Invitational.
Crestwood was third out of 28 teams in the Boys Champion race that was won by Central Cambria. It was fifth out of 37 teams in the Girls Challenge race that was won by Dallastown.
The boys brought their top three finishers to the line in succession, separated by less than five seconds.
Weston Medvetz was 12th in 17:15.4. Jack Scanlon was 13th and Nash Greene 14th in a field of 199.
Molly DeMarzo led the Lady Comets, placing 17th in the 255-runner field in 19:16.5.
Freshman Ella Novella was 21st and sophomore Maggie Kozich was 23rd.
Scranton Prep placed 37th out of 43 teams in the Boys Challenge race.
The Crestwood girls were in the stronger of the two races and held up as the seventh-best team out of 65 when times for the two races were merged and scored.
When times for both boys races were merged, Crestwood scored in 30th and Scranton Prep 50th out of 76 total teams.
