Dallas girls, Delaware Valley girls, Tunkhannock boys climb rankings

The Dallas and Delaware Valley girls climbed and the Tunkhannock boys joined the rankings in the latest Riverfront Sports Super Six Swimming Power Rankings of District 2 teams, released while teams are idle from league competition during the holiday week.

None of the 13 teams to appear in the rankings this season have been beaten yet, leading to minimal movement between the preseason rankings and each of the first two in-season updates.

The Hazleton Area boys and Scranton Prep girls remain on top of the rankings after each won its season opener.

Hazleton Area is followed by Wyoming Seminary, Delaware Valley, Dallas and Scranton Prep in the boys rankings.

Dallas and Scranton Prep won their openers while the other two teams had the week off.

Tunkhannock (2-0) replaced Holy Redeemer (1-0) in the sixth spot after a 133-23 romp over Pittston Area.

Dallas moved from third to second in the girls rankings, swapping places with Wyoming Seminary after defeating Berwick, 139-44, in its season opener.

Delaware Valley went from sixth to fourth.

Tunkhannock remained fifth and Valley View dropped from fourth to sixth after each won its second meet of the season.
