Field hockey all-state selections from Wyoming Valley Conference

Wyoming Seminary’s record fourth Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class A state championship resulted in the Blue Knights landing four first-team berths on the team selected by coaches.

Ella Barbacci, Anna Mozeleski, Maddie Olshemski and Emma Watchilla all made the first team in Class A on the team selected by the Pennsylvania State Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Wyoming Area, which reached the state semifinals, placed Morgan Janeski, Toni Minichello and Bianca Pizano on the first team in Class A.

Lake-Lehman also had three first-teamers in Class A, Rachel Galasso, Madison Lasinski and goalie Faye Post.

There were three other first-teamers from the Wyoming Valley Conference in other classifications.

Emma Guydish and goalie Isabella Caporuscio from Crestwood made it in Class 2A while Kathryn Corcoran from Honesdale made it in Class 3A.

Honesdale also had a second-teamer in Class 3A, Claire Campen.

Wyoming Valley West’s Olivia Yelen and Georgia Tsioles and Crestwood’s Emma George made the second team in Class 2A.

The second-teamers in Class A include Wyoming Area’s Megan Beppler and Alexys Moore, Lake-Lehman’s Isabella DeCesaris and Sophia Lenza and Wyoming Seminary’s Milaw Clause.

Another 11 WVC players received honorable mention.

Holy Redeemer had Lauren Kane and Lizzie Mendrzycki on that list in Class A, along with Nanticoke’s Grace Reed, Wyoming Area’s Alyvia Yatsko and Wyoming Seminary goalie Laine Cabell.

Gabby Ambosie from Crestwood was the lone WVC player on the Class 2A honorable mention list.

The Class 3A honorable mentions were: Honesdale Rozlyn Maciejewski and goalie Nicole Miszler, Delaware Valley’s Mackenzie Olsommer, Hazleton Area’s Jillian Kringe and Wilkes-Barre Area’s Julia Warren.
