Mountain View continued its strong start with Wednesday night’s 50-11 rout of visiting Hanover Area in a non-league girls basketball game.
The Lady Eagles, who were just 4-17 last season, improved to 3-0. They have held two opponents to 11 points and are allowing just 20 points per game.
Mountain View’s 3-0 start helped improve Lackawanna League Division 4 teams to 6-3 in non-league action after going 27-50 outside the division last season.

Old Forge 51, Wyoming Seminary 44
Talia Piragas scored 28 points as Old Forge opened its season with the home-court win.
Piragas finished 8-for-9 from the line. After scoring 11 points in the second quarter, she had 9 more when the Lady Devils outscored the Blue Knights, 16-4, in the third quarter to break a halftime tie.
Jewlya McCullon added 14 points.
Cassidy Skoronski made four 3-pointers and scored all 14 of her points in the first half to help Wyoming Seminary make it to the break in a 27-27 tie.
Lexi Lichtenstein and Ellie Parra added 12 and 10 points.
Valley View 59, Holy Cross 28
Molly Murphy hit four 3-pointers while scoring 16 points and Giada Costa added 14 points in the road win.
Holy Redeemer 40, Williamsport 31
Angie Corridoni came off the bench to score a game-high 10 points and lead Holy Redeemer to the home-court victory.
Irelyn Karnes added nine points.
Marian Catholic 59, Crestwood 51
Carly Minchhoff and Ashley Plebon combined to go 9-for-12 from the line in the fourth quarter while leading Marian Catholic to the road victory.
Minchhoff finished with 20 points and Plebon had 17.
Cadence Hiller and Keira Dougherty had 10 points each for Marian Catholic, which went 18-for-28 from the line.
Delaware Valley 25, Forest City 17
Visiting Delaware Valley won its second straight since an opening loss.
