Game One: Griffin was 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two runs and three RBI May 15 in an 11-5 victory over Delaware Valley in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game.
Game Two: When Abington Heights handed division champion North Pocono its only loss of the Lackawanna League Division 1 season, 8-2, May 17 in the regular-season finale, Griffin was 2-for-3, was hit by a pitch, scored twice and drove in a run.
Season batting: Including the season-ending, 11-3 loss to Wallenpaupack in the District 2-4 Class 5A Subregional baseball playoffs after the time period of this selection, Griffin finished as the Abington Heights leader in batting average (.407) and on-base percentage (.529). Griffin scored 12 runs and drove in 17 while producing 4 doubles, a triple and a home run.
Season pitching: In eight appearances, Griffin went 2-3 with a 2.60 earned run average. Griffin struck out 43 in 29 2/3 innings while allowing 25 walks and 23 hits.
About Conner: Griffin is committed to play National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I baseball at Binghamton University. He finished his career on a seven-game hitting streak, leaving the three-year starter with a .338 average and 41 RBIs in 49 games.
About the Comets: Abington Heights finished second out of eight teams in Lackawanna Division 1 with a 10-4 record. The Comets landed the third seed in the District 2-4 Class 5A subregional on the way to a 12-7 final overall record.
