Holy Redeemer each gained one position in this week’s Electric City Volleyball Academy Elite Eight Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
Those teams are beginning to make the transition from the regular season into the postseason.
Delaware Valley completed a perfect regular season to remain on top in the rankings, which were released early Wednesday afternoon.
Holy Redeemer and Crestwood moved into third and fifth, each swapping spots with the teams that had been immediately ahead of them.
Wyoming Valley Conference champion Delaware Valley won three times to get to 16-0, beating two ranked teams in the process.
Berwick remained second after extending its winning streak to seven by defeating Lackawanna League Division 1 champion Western Wayne and former No. 3 team Nanticoke in a 3-0 week.
Holy Redeemer won twice, including a meeting of ranked teams with Dallas, to move from fourth to third.
The Lady Royals are tied for third in the WVC standings with Nanticoke with one match remaining, but beat the Trojanettes when they played head-to-head.
Nanticoke split its matches and moved down one notch to fourth.
Crestwood moved up despite losing its match. The Lady Comets became the only one of Delaware Valley’s eight opponents in the second half of the regular season to win a set from the Lady Warriors.
Western Wayne split and dropped one spot to sixth.
Dunmore, which won twice, and Dallas remained seventh and eighth.
Dallas completed a stretch of matches in five straight days and played seven times in nine days as it worked to try to finish its schedule after having the season paused. The Mountaineers went 4-2 in the matches that fell during the past week, losing only to Delaware Valley and Holy Redeemer.
