Both teams lost in their first match, knocking them out of state title contention. Each will continue into the consolation brackets, beginning with a Friday morning match.
Chestnut Ridge defeated Lackawanna Trail, 35-21, in a Class 2A battle of unbeaten teams.

Lackawanna Trail meets District 10 champion Hickory, which lost to West Perry, 45-23, Friday at 8 a.m.
Abington Heights will face District 3 champion Gettysburg, which lost to Williamsport, 34-33, Friday at 10 a.m.
Neither team ever led, but Lackawanna Trail managed to stay within 15-12 through 7 of 13 bouts and 21-15 with four still remaining.

Robbie Schneider (160), Seth Ross (189) and Cole Henry (113) won decisions for the Lions.
