The NEPA Elite Coyle 17U boys team played its last two games Saturday and the performances 6-foot-8 forward Ethan Meuser put together this season led to him receiving his first two National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II scholarship offers Sunday and Monday.
Meuser’s offers came from a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference members – Millersville University Sunday and Lock Haven University Monday.
Prior to his senior year at Wyoming Seminary, Meuser received a scholarship offer from Point Park University, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics member school in Pittsburgh.
Meuser had another year of AAU eligibility after finishing at Wyoming Seminary because he announced his intentions to spend the 2021-22 academic year in prep school at The Hill School in Pottstown.
At Wyoming Seminary, Meuser was a two-time Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 first-team all-star choice by NEPABasketball.com for his role in the Blue Knights consecutive championships. As a senior, he also was a second-team, all-District 2 choice on the website’s team for players in all classifications.
The 2020-21 PSAC season was canceled because of the pandemic.
Millersville was a .500 team in the 2019-20 season, going 11-11 in the PSAC and 15-15 overall while making its third straight conference tournament appearance. The Marauders reached the PSAC quarterfinals.
Lock Haven was 9-13 in the conference and 12-15 overall in 2019-20 when it lost in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.
