Jeff Sakulich ran four yards for the winning touchdown with 3:22 remaining lifted the County over the City, 15-13, and made Lakeland’s Jerry Wasilchak a winner in his coaching finale.
The touchdown by the Mid Valley running back produced the fourth lead change of the night.
Scott Perry from Abington Heights opened the scoring for the County with a field goal.
Valley View’s Jeff Sparks led the comebacks, hitting high school teammate Pat Zwanch with a 68-yard touchdown pass on the first play after the City took its first lead.
Sparks, who went 3-for-5 for 140 yards, found another high school teammate, Dale Carey, for a 54-yard gain when the County was pinned at its 4.
Wasilchak had developed Lakeland into the top program in the Suburban Conference, then through a transition to the Big 11 that included the Chiefs winning a title in their first season.
