Chase Taddonio threw for two touchdowns and ran for the other two Friday night when Riverside defeated host Mid Valley, 30-8, in a non-league game involving Lackawanna Football Conference teams.
Taddonio was 19-for-26 for 243 yards and also rushed for 64 yards as the Vikings bounced back from losing at home to West Scranton in the opener.
Reese Gaughan pulled in a pass in the end zone for a 32-yard touchdown from Taddonio.
Riverside built a 16-0 lead, with the help of a field goal, before Zach Popko went 35 yards around the left end with 2:35 left in the half.
Taddonio ran for a touchdown and passed to Gary Mrozinski for another during the third quarter.
Mid Valley fell to 0-2.
