Scranton Prep celebrated its 50th football anniversary with 50 first-half points on the way to a 50-13 rout of visiting Honesdale Saturday afternoon in a Lackawanna Football Conference Division 2 game.
The unbeaten Cavaliers scored four touchdowns in the first quarter and three more in the second to open a 50-0 halftime lead, despite playing without 1,000-yard rusher London Montgomery as part of a COVID-19 precaution.
Scranton Prep improved to 3-0 in the division, with only a final-week game against fellow-unbeaten Valley View remaining on the division schedule. The Cavaliers are 6-0 overall.
Honesdale lost its third straight and fell to 0-2 and 2-5.
