SOCCER ROUNDUP: Dallas boys dump Crestwood, take first place

Sam Robson scored the game’s only goal Friday lifting Dallas over visiting Crestwood and into the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 boys soccer lead.

Dallas improved to 3-0-1, both in the division and overall.

Crestwood slipped to 3-1 and 4-2.

In other WVC Division 1 games: Tunkhannock defeated Wyoming Valley West, 4-1; and Pittston Area and Wilkes-Barre Area played to a 1-1 tie.

Ron Prislupski scored three goals to lead Holy Cross past Lakeland, 8-2, in Lackawanna League Division 2.

Prislupski has 15 goals in 3 games.

Andrew Smith and Aidan Krieger added two goals each in the win.

GIRLS

Halle Kranson scored all three goals and Olivia Allen made four saves for the shutout as Wyoming Area blanked Wyoming Seminary, 3-0, in a WVC Division 2 game.

Hailey Kline and Marissa Brdaric led Lake-Lehman to a 6-1 victory over Nanticoke in the other Division 2 game.

Kline scored four goals, including three in the second half to pull away from a 1-1 tie.

Brdaric had two goals and two assists.

Wilkes-Barre Area defeated Pittston Area, 7-1, in a WVC Division 1 game.
